(picture of our new house in St. Sabine , Canada)
Hi I am Annie and the picture at the top is like my new snowmobile.
My husband and I just got new 99 Polaris XLT Touring machines for this
season. It is a beautiful indigo blue with red striping on it. I put on
over 2000 miles snowmobiling this season and my husband put on almost 3000.
Snowmobiling in Canada and Maine is very beautiful. We went last weekend
(3/20 and 3/21) and got in about 175 miles. It was a bit too warm so we
had to ride when the sun wasn't out too long. But I like to ride at night,
and the trails were pretty good, especially for mid March. We
had a camp in St. Sabine Canada, but just bought a house in the same town
there. Now we have electricity and in-door running water, all the luxuries
of home! Being able to take a shower while on a snowmobiling weekend
was worth it. We spent Christmas Break up there, even my mom went. It was
so relaxing and cozy. I love to go up there. The people are very nice around
there also. Even though we cannot speak French, most everyone there can
speak at least a little English, so we get along. We hope to get in another
weekend, but I have grades to do next weekend so that is up in the air
for now. I am an 8th grade mathematics teacher. I am just finishing up
a master's degree program at Thomas College in Waterville, Maine in Computer
Technology Education. So that slowed us down last year and somewhat this
year. I only started the program last January. And this web site is my
final topic project. So I am 'fine-tuning' it a little to submit.
My occupation is a math teacher at Lawrence Junior High,
in Fairfield, ME. I teach algebra, pre-algebra, and general math for eighth
graders. I am on my nineteenth year of teaching, seventeen
of them have been at Lawrence. I am also the proud mother of three beautiful
children, aged 14, 12 and 9. I have been married to a very supportive and
understanding man for sixteen years. My life is very full and I like it
that way.
Since this web page has been part of different assignments
for some of my classes, I apologize if they are not up to professional
standard. So I apologize for errors and what-have-yous. I have been working
on this slowly as I take courses. So much of what I have is in the planning
stages. I call this a "work in progress"! As I search through the Internet
I may find ideas I want to use. So I hope you can stop back in some time
and check on my progress.
Thanks for stopping in!

This page was made possible by the patience and expertise of Mark
Hanscom. And special thanks to one of my former students, Eric O'Donnell.
He helped me out a lot in the first part of my program.
(If there is anything you like, go ahead and "borrow" it. Just
remember that without sharing the WWW would not have been this grand!)
